Alliance gifting points

I scored 21,000 points in gifting but wouldn’t have been eligible for alliance rewards for 2 days. I assumed it would work like SA or 3 day event when you first join a alliance where you can still contribute points but wouldn’t get rewards till eligible. I’m now eligible but the points i got from gifting with my alliance aren’t in the alliance section. Did i lose out on all those points because i wasn’t eligle?
