Slow Mechanic Isn’t Working as Expected in the 6.2.6 Champion Fight

I was clearing another lane in 6.2.6 and encountered an issue in The Champion fight. I brought Sorcerer Supreme as my primary counter to him due to her slow mechanic.
In theory, and from videos I’ve seen online, when a slow debuff is applied to him, it should entirely prevent the unstoppable buff from appearing or working. However, during my fight with him, slow only stopped the physical effect of unstoppable (meaning you can perform a full combo on him without getting hit), but the buff still showed up and the side effects killed me many times.
Because the buff was still there, not only was he regenerating a lot of health (I don’t actually care about that too much but it should be noted), he would also stun me anytime I made contact with him (even after using a special) during his 70%-40% health phase. It directly and indirectly caused me to die a lot, either by the stun itself, or because I had to play around it and failed.
Again, when watching videos of this matchup before I took on the fight, her slow debuff completely stopped the buff from appearing, meaning those issues didn’t apply. I know it may sound stingy, but I need every revive I’ve saved up for the Act 6 exploration that I’m working on, and this problem could cause me to spend more units than I otherwise would have. I finished the fight (with Quake of all champs), but I’m not touching it anymore until I find out what’s going on. I’d optimally like a couple of my 8 revives back, but I doubt I’ll ever see those things again lol
Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

That explains things. I’ll admit, I’m really not a fan of how slow debuffs interact with the fight. I remember a similar thing happening when I used Stealth-suit Spiderman against him many months ago. Feels sort of cash-grabby for there to be a little asterisk saying you can’t completely get rid of unstoppable with slow unless you have ability accuracy over 100%, but I get why it happened now. Guess I’ll have to find a different counter.
Ugh
