Buying less Cavalier Crystals due to 6* Meta

These GGC made me realize that I’m buying less Cavalier crystals. I’m not a whale, but for years I would sneak in a few crystals each month hoping to get an exciting new 5*. However, now that 6* are the new standard and I don’t really need any new 5* champs for some new ability, the cavalier crystals aren’t even tempting to me anymore because 6* is so rare.

The GGC crystals got me spending a bit, and also seeing with more clarity how awful the cavaliers are for throne breakers that just need 6*.

Kabam needs throne breaker crystals with a higher 6* rate and hopefully some t5cc chances

    I’m wil said we don’t need TB cystal but one the next tilile we probably need a cystal that Giv 4 star to 6 or better odds. To ealy to fast to progress meant faster 7 star get added and I’m not ready for that swich yet

    I think we will get TB crystals later this year, probably a 15% drop rate on 6*s.

    TBs will be just fine getting their Cav crystal calendar shards, much like Cavs get more calendar GMC shards than Uncollected. Maybe the thing to do is shift the calendar from 14-day to 7-day for upper level TBs.

    But I can see no better way to accelerate the shift to 7*’s than flooding the game with even more 6*’s for the TBs.

    Agreed, you cut the game life in half probably. I imagine Mcoc has another strong 4-5 years.

    There are certainly a lot of variables. Also consider that most big wales already have a all the 6* champs that they want. So the deeper question might be would it help or hurt the game if more players had the big wale type rosters that we already see in a small percent of accounts?

    I think the future of the game depends on creating new exciting champs with new abilities, not making it difficult for the average veteran to get the old champs.

    Plus there are lots of ways that Kabam can switch up the game modes to keep it fresh, beyond the AQ, AW, etc. For instance, consider how some champs are really good for incursions. Most players don’t rank up champs for incursions, but that’s due to the relatively weak rewards. But if they buffed incursion rewards and maybe even created special titles, then they could get people to rank up champs for incursions.

    Or they could create a gauntlet champ, that is not any type of star but can only be used in a new game mode called gauntlet. The champ is 1 rank 1 level, no need to upgrade them. Just acquire them and they are ready. But the gauntlet is a weekly competition that you can only enter into 3 times a week, no items inside. You see how far you can make it, and you can option to share your score with your ally/friends. High scores get big rewards. And the big kicker is that to get the gauntlet crystals you need to buy them with a type of currency that you get in AQ like glory. So all game modes get more exciting.

    It’s not a perfect idea, but I’m saying let’s encourage them to keep it fresh rather than saying “please keep me discouraged from buying cavalier crystals so the same old game can stay the same.”

    Like subway—keep it fresh. Quit serving these stale cavaliers like old anchovies only for wale taste haha
