king groot not shrugging debuffs with sas synergy

i was in aq map 7 today testing out the synergy was sasquatch. my path os the gimme path with spectre. kg will shrug any debuff that is applied to him as long as he has a fury. however i found that with this synergy he isnt shrugging debuffs. i also found out that with the synergy it completely nullify his signature ability wont work as he cant go on cooldown. he should shrug the debuffs no mater the source if he has a fury and the synergy shouldn't effect the champs base kit so far that a part is unusable. can i get some clarification on if this is a bug or working correctly.
