Challenge Mode during a battle?

The other day I was battling with a 5-Star Rocket Racoon against a 4-Star Angela. In the middle there was a brief moment where it did a “wager” mode. Never seeing this before I did not know what this was. I didn’t press anything and lost the wager which showed Rocket pull out a gun and Angela knocking the gun out of his hand and sending Rocket flying. I haven’t seen this before and never seen it since. Is this a mode that can be triggered by a certain action? I haven’t seen an update change log reference this so I was just curious.

    You got hit by an sp3 from Angela. That’s Rr standard animations when getting hit by a L3. The bar across the bottom grants you increased damage on offense and decreases damage taken on defemse if you stop the bar in the green or yellow zones. Green is +20% and yellow is plus 12%
