Xp gains at max level?

Is there a reason why xp boosts are still given to max level players? Shouldn't they either be removed from our crystals or, when we do get them, exchanged?! instead of worrying about adding 6* champs can we please fix things in the base game?

    One suggestion that has been made is to continue getting XP after we hit the max level. Every time you fill up the bar, you get your energy refilled and some other little prize. Maximizing XP gains is fun, and that would continue it, making XP boosts continue to be useful.

    Right now, they're still a *little* useful because you can use them during Item Use events for some decent points.
