Blocking suddenly in the middle of a combo

I’ve experienced this before, but since the update it’s gone from rare to rather frequent. The AI is able to somehow recover and throw up block right in the middle of a combo. I mean, usually when it happened before it would be while trying to chain a special into my combo. But now it’s even happening in the middle of just a regular light hit combo, and the blocking a chained special happens all the time instead of rarely. Just spent a fight against WWII Cap and Hulk where I landed ZERO specials and had several combos interrupted. The blocking a special is especially bad because in most cases they get to retaliate.
