In the year 2o2o there was a challange called Variant 5 ~
Needed spacific champ to fight~
Watching the requirements these guys gabe themselves some high five~
......

THANOS : did you said villain? I shall prevail.
RED SKULL : dude, chill u got champ discription smaller than my morning breakfast.
THANOS : how dare you?! I bring one of the best month in this game. December! & They spend soo much to get me.
FYI is that tesseract just for show?
RED SKULL : oh really? & So what? It's not like getting you makes any difference?

Enter MEPHISTO : please stop this nonsense. You 2 are missing the elephant in the room.
We are #villain alright.
One might say 3 of the most well known ones, from Marvel comics. So why can't we participate in Variant 5 ?
I think deep down all three of us knows the truth.
It's sad. Our 4th memebr Victor is tackling soo much and we... Buttom of the berrel. Just wasting away.

In the mean time, Dr. Doom : i feel sorry for you guys. Seriously.

Mephisto has been very useful in v6 for me so far. he's been my go to for icemans and arkhus' bc he's coldsnap immune and i don't have doom. I'll probably use him for a hype i've spied on a path in chapter 3.

The joke is the conversation.
And the fact is they all suck as attackers or defenders. Even though they are clearly extremely well known powerful characters.

While playing v5 i saw all 3 of them when i sorted out #vilalin champs. Wanted to use something other than usual doom and venom...
But these 3 are poor champs..

well yellow numbers aren't everything lol. sure he kinda hits like a noodle, but he has a fair amount of utility. He's poison immune, doesn't take damage from incinerates but instead gains power, immune to passive AAR and coldsnap and his soul imprisonment removes/prevents buffs from sp1 (also applies incinerate debuffs) but i think it also eats up your persistent charges so that kinda sucks
His aura gives him passive power gain and extra damage. Hes got regeneration too, and he can tank 1 sp3 because he doesn't take damage while regenerating.
Once per fight he can power drain up to 2 bars of power via sp3.

i wouldn't have managed completion, let alone exploration (working on it) without him

I am a free to play bdw.. that thanos is a hard work of continuous atrna gridning just to reach the final milestones.

Mephisto isn't terrible, and it's nice there's a place he's good, since I've got him at 6* R1. He hits a lot better alongside The Champion and having Symbiote Supreme on the team is better than having him Awakened. Both villains, I believe...

Btw, Red Skull is amazing in Variant 6 on the 'Genius' paths. Took my 5* in at 2/35 and he did good.

He definitely is. And Mephisto can actually beat Human Torch if he's very passive and Torch is also very passive.

The thing is, every time he hits Torch, (because he's a mystic opponent) Torch gains temperature until he starts applying Nova Flames, instead of Incinerates. At which point Mephisto starts melting.

Champion isn't either, having checked. I mean the synergies are still good, but you don't really want wasted space in a Variant team...

He definitely is. And Mephisto can actually beat Human Torch if he's very passive and Torch is also very passive.

I see... Yeah so nova flame melts him ... Not regular incenerate...
