Is Ranking Up champs unbalanced?

I have been playing MCoC since its second year. But I have found an issue - My progress has stalled, and I keep stalling at harder level content, no matter how high-level my ability gets. I have ranked up 2 higher level champions total in the last 6 months.
I love the game, but soon, I am going to become so disinterested that I stop playing, and for one unfortunate, yet simple reason:
Higher Level Catalysts are too rare.
Tier 5 Basics and Tier 2 Alphas are necessary for ranking 5* and 6* champs, and I have seen so few of them, that in my efforts to secure them (which currently amounts to ONLY glory spend and completing the Uncollected Level Event Quest each month), I now have the following, waiting to be spent until I can get 2 tier 5 basics and 4 tier 2 alphas:
-- multiple (sometimes up to 15-20) unspent tier 4 class catalysts expiring in my stash - which can't be sold for tier 5 class catalyst shards - and trading them in for each other is a waste, since nearly every category is full at this point
-- over 200 crystals that generate tier 4 catalysts or shards - both basic and class.
-- over 5,000,000 gold
-- so much ISO that I sell hundreds a week without using them, and the pool never diminishes.
Whole classes of my champs are awakened, but at lower level ranks because I can only rank one every three months at the most, including fragments and shards I get from side quests each month.
The rate at which new champions are arriving is not in line with the ability to rank them with the rewards in the content offered, so I propose the following solutions, and welcome discussion, criticism, or amendments to these ideas:
1) Perhaps there could be an Uncollected level Daily Quest for Tier 5 Basic and Tier 4 Alpha fragments like there is for all the other tiers of basic catalysts. (and maybe a Cavalier one for 2% Class Tier 5 crystals - even at 1/day you would still have to hit the exact same color of tier 5 every day for almost 2 months straight to get a tier 5 class catalyst, but it would still help)
2) Perhaps adding a switch in the Crystal area - flipping the switch would cost 100 units (so that people won't just keep flipping the switch and manipulating the rewards unfairly). This switch controls whether you get crystal rewards for duplicating a champ, or crystal shard rewards for duplicating a champ. So, if you duplicate a 5* champ, maybe you get 500 Tier 5 catalyst fragments (1.4% of a catalyst) instead of 6* crystal shards. paying 100 units to flip the switch would shift rewards back to crystal shards, and so on...
3) Allowing Sale of Tier 4 Class Catalysts - Maybe the same as Tier 4 Catalysts to Tier 5 basic fragments, but for Tier 5 Class fragments, Or even as as a trade in the store for 2% Tier 5 Class Fragment Crystals?
4) Hosting Tier 5 Basic and Tier 2 Alpha Catalyst Arenas once a month?
5) Allowing Tier 5 Basic and Tier 2 Alphas to be purchased with more currency based on your Title? (gold, units, glory, loyalty, Incursion fragments)?
6) Having Uncollected and Cavalier level solo objectives that are high-difficulty (complete 1,000 fights / get a streak of 200 in arenas / completely explore the Uncollected or Cavalier Event quest in the first 5 days it is available, etc.) and with Tier 5 and Tier 2 Alpha catalysts or fragments as rewards
7) Having a log-in calendar with no rewards in it for 99 days, but logging in on day 100 gets you a Tier 5 and a Tier 2 Alpha (resetting once achieved or if you miss a day)
Please weigh in.

T5B is hard to get, but T2A is not.
How much glory do you get per week ?
Also just so you know people had to complete act 5, which is almost cav, to get their first r5.
I think the problem you're facing is that you are not progressing fast enough in permanent content, you said you're playing since the 2nd year but you are still UC. You are asking for rewards that are not made for UC. T5b and t2a are no way rare for cav players (I agree there is an imbalance between both catalysts). And I didn't touch act 7 yet.
And iso is a problem for cav and beyond.

The in-game economy is where Kabam wants it.
The only way to get a broad top level roster ( so you can do the top level content) is to join a very aggressive Alliance and do upper level maps.
