Power boosts don't work in Abyss??

I just finished another path in Abyss and threw on a power boost for one of my fights and noticed it did nothing, no class disadvantage or anything so I'm not sure what's going on and cannot find into anywhere about it.

    They work. But since it is based on % of HP taken from the opponent, it will give you almost to no power back

    They do *work* but the power they give you back is negligible. This is because the boosts give you power back in relation to what percentage of the opponent's health is lost during the special attack. Since Abyss has such large health pools, you're only taking off 1-2% per attack and that gives you back very little power.

    right!! somehow I forgot and thought it was based on the damage given. good thing they're cheap in the loyalty store ahahh
