MCOC and battery display

When playing the game, often when I go back to my phone Home Screen, my battery display will be at 1% but it almost fully charged. Last for hours after. It seems to only happen when I play mcoc. This is on IOS.

Curious if this is happening to anyone else. Not sure if it is related to mcoc or just my phone.
