Bug in side quest?

I brought namor and invisible woman plus 3 non synergy champs for my team but I am still getting stunned. I heard the synergy is supposed to apply to the whole team as long as you bring a romance synergy so I am a bit confused. Is this a bug or it’s working as intended?

    It's a joke.

    Namor has unrequited love and the 'just friends' synergy from IW negates it entirely.
