I'll admit I don't really understand the AW and tier system. Just seems overly complicated for a pick and play game. I'd like it if 'the more fights you win, the higher you get' system! lol

Dressed up in a fancy skirt full of tiering systems, league brackets, multiplier points, etc.
Bottom line for me is I focus most of my time to AQ rather than AW. I'm sure if I took the time to learn I could understand fully just how much better most other alliances are than my own! lol
I mean itβs not that complex... You win, you go up the tiers, you lose, you go down the tiers. Higher tiers have better rewards and multipliers because the fights are harder. I just look at it as how the football league systems work in the UK. Incredibly simple.

Lol didn't mean to target you. But it's not that complicated either. The more win streak you have, the higher tier you get, the more multiplier you get, the more point you attain, the higher you climb on leaderboard.
I think the OP may be going back a ways before they fixed the system to match only by war rating. I believe matchmaking used to take alliance rating into account so smaller alliances would get G1 ratings while never facing anyone of substance
