Korg Synergy With Thor Doesn’t Work

Pinned Ironman against the wall and finished my combo with a medium attack. His next combo had no increased damage and no fury buff was displayed. So the synergy didn’t do anything.

Did the next fight against Yellowjacket with Korg and the synergy worked. The fight after that against Vision with Thor Ragnarok and the synergy worked again. The next fight versus Rhino with Thor Ragnarok and it didn’t work again...Why wouldn’t it work against the original Ironman or Rhino? This synergy seems hit or miss. Doesn’t say anything about % chance.
