First Abyss Run - how long will it take to save for?

Apart from the monthly unit deal I'm fairly ftp. Units typically grinding via arenas and alliance event awards etc.
So, for a first Abyss run, typically how long has it taken to save the average units needed?

    Took me 4 months of very casual arena, monthly unit card and daily events to get to 6k. Doing my run now with the help of love potions :-)

    Also, did a bit of auto fight grinding of winter soldier (48lv3) and 4.3.6 (35lv1 revives) to help out. Do not underestimate the value of preparing before hand and doing some grinding!
