Weird topic, but I don't wanna put negativity on the coder(s) that put together the Hood berf. Especially if this was just one person's project.
There's a system of checks and balances for these things usually, and this time that system failed (imo, and others). When it does fail, that failure usually gets unfairly hung on one person's head -- when really it was a failure of the system.
So don't take all of this personally. You guys have been doing some good work recently, and we (well, I, but I think 'we' do too) appreciate the work you put in.
