The Best Angela Rotation

I’d like to start this post with a disclaimer saying I’m going to suggest what I see as the best rotation for Angela after the buff from all the testing I’ve done but what I have found might not be definite fact and you might like a different rotation better. Feel free to put your thoughts below. Now with that out of the way here we go.

I did some testing with Angela prebuff then I tried out 5 different rotations post buff. (For reference I’m using my 5* r1 who is not leveled up so she’s about the level of a maxed 3*. I was fighting rol winter soldier). Before I list and explain the rotations the reason you use Angela’s specials is not for damage but to reset which buff she gets when she crits based on her power level. Below sp1 she gets armor, at sp1 is fury, at sp2 is precision, and sp3 is aptitude. The rotations I tried out were sp1 then sp3 cycle, sp1 spam, sp1 and sp2 cycle, sp2 and sp3 cycle, and all of the specials in a row.

Pretty much what I learned is the fury off the sp1 is important to increasing her damage but it’s also important to get precision so that you can have a bunch of crits while you have her fury. With this in mind I found any cycle that you used an sp1 and then built up above 2 bars of power got the most damage. This narrows the rotations down to sp1 then sp2 cycle, sp1 then sp3 cycle, and doing the specials in order. Now, from here I realized to get the most damage you want to get the fury off both the sp1 and fury phase and then transition to getting precision as quickly as possible so that you can maximize your fury damage and this is what narrows it down. Because doing all three specials in a row takes significantly longer than the other two, which means your furies are going to start to fall off it falls behind them. This means after you’ve used a special 1 you have to pick between using an sp2 when you’re close to 3 bars of power to maximize precision and get to the next sp1 as quickly as possible or use an sp3. These options were very close damage wise but it seems to me that going for sp3s gives more damage than sp2s because the aptitude buff gives slightly more damage. It’s enough to be noticeable so that was enough for me to decide sp1 and then sp3 cycling is the best way to maximize Angela’s damage.

I had a lot of fun doing this and I’m definitely going to upgrade my Angela soon. I hope this is helpful and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for reading to the end.

Great write-up. It'll be interesting to see how she works in end-game content, as 90% of the videos I've seen showcasing her are on the Icarus node (which she excels at).

@TheBair123 i think I might try her on the 6.4.3 darkhawk and see how that goes. The only problem is I don’t have her at high sig now so it might have to wait.
