Cavalier! What next and who to rank up?

Hey guys, got the Cavalier title this morning and with the new event today not sure what I should be focusing on or who to rank up next, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try awakening your Archangel and Guardian. They are beasts. Additionally you have Venom at r5 already (pretty impressed), so you could attempt some variants if you haven't already. I would take Prof X up to r5 next as your roster currently is. Congrats on cav!

I’ve already done a completion of the villain variant and got a 4-5 skill gem and have a skill AG so waiting on Aegon, Fury or Falcon..

I’m desperate to awaken guardian for all the benefits and Archangel to R4 is a priority also, need to start getting some good science champs so I can venture into Cav EQ and start getting those rewards.

Feel like now is just about broadening my roster for other content so hopefully the monthly side event is kind to me.

Professor X, Guardian (needs high sig), Archangel who has loads of utility which will significantly help you.

I didn’t really see the damage with professor X doing 6.1, is there anything I’m missing with him? I’m heavy charging up until SP3 then heavy cancelling when ‘channelling’ then rinse and repeating that cycle but I still got much more from my other champs. The falter comes in massively handy though.

Also completed UC monthly to get my next 6* and it was Psylocke.. wasn’t upset with it just disappointed.

Prof x is tricky to learn and has different rotations which can give him great damage, especially in long fights where he can ramp up.
I would advise watching some YouTube guides on him, and then deciding if you like him. Since some people don't like his playstile.

Content wise, I would advise you to do variant 5 (mystic&symbiote) completion. You have venom, morningstar, red goblin and 4* doom, so you should be able to do that variant.
Or variant 4 (star gated one) - you have the 5* roster to do the first chapter and the other ones shouldn't be too hard if you didn't sell your 1* champs

I’ve watched guides on Prof X but obviously they’re all R5 or 6* R3 so maybe I just need him maxed to feel the damage with him.

Variant 5 definitely seems like an option and I can use stark spidey for that also, completion rewards for V5 and V6 are so good that completion of the other variants just doesn’t feel worth it unless you have the roster to 100% them.

Will be due another 5* soon then should easily get the next two caskets for the side event so will have at least 3 5*s coming in the next week or two so will see what my roster looks like then.

Think I’m going to use this thread as a self progression opportunity to keep up with what I’ve done in the game.

Latest 5* this morning was man-thing which was pretty disappointing but I suppose he’s an annoying defender if nothing else.

Played some incursions this morning with Morningstar and at 5 souls she is RIDICULOUS!

Anyone not playing or under rating Morningstar please take her into incursions and you’ll see how good she can really be.

Looking forward to progressing in the side event and hopefully getting the 5* nexus and AG Crystal soon!

Will also be trying Cav for the EQ for the first time this month, does anyone have any tips for it?

I suggest you continue ranking up AA, hit monkey, and guardian. Also try to invest some more into your masteries. The ou of your champs is really low that’s probably why.

Trust me, Archangel will work wonders for you. Take him to rank 4.
There is this part where people say he needs the awakening and about 112 sigs (to make the ability accuracy reduction around 33%). I agree he needs awakening, but no way Im going to invest stones into him, because I can maintain the neuro's at more than 4-5.

And the part where you said you feel like he doesn't have the damage, you stack the prowess, and use sp2 rather than sp3 for more damage imo. I feel like the burst damage has quite the ability to devastate everything.

So you must stack prowess, 100 charges, and heavy cancel into sp2.

Is my champs PI really that low? What masteries help increase that the most? I haven’t 100% act 4 so still have lots of mastery points to come from that and levelling up.

AA to R4 should be done within the week he’s been great in the new events for me, amazing champ!

I’ll try using just the SP2 with Prof X instead of SP3s and see how that works out for prowess and damage wise.

Get your precision and cruelty masteries unlocked and maxed!! Not the lesser ones the next ones! Also I would say add glass cannon it adds additional attack but does sacrifice some health, worth it imo.

Opened 2x 5* crystals since Monday, one from the boss rush which awakened my Phoenix.. then one from incursions which awakened my air Walker..

Buff for both please?!

But on a positive note I managed to R4 my AA so the roster now looks like this;

Do heavy charging until 100 charges and just below 2 bars of powers, then throw sp1 while charging heavy and after sp1 hold block. Repeat it until your power get depleted, by the time you will 6-8 prowesses. Then do a few combos to get above 1 bar of power then start charging heavy again until 100 charges and this time about 2 1/2 bar of power (start the cycle early if prowesses are expiring) then throw sp2 while charging heavy and then refresh prowesses after sp2. Rinse and repeat until fight ends. If charges end first, then repeat the cycle. I play him that way.

Been using Havok to counter Korg for the side quest and he’s been working great, was also delighted to see in tiers 8 and 9 there isn’t another Korg just Odin!

Tomorrow morning will get another 5* and after seeing the maps for the next two tiers I know I’ll definitely be able to get the nexus and awakening gem.

This will also mean I’ll be getting another 6* by the end of the month, fingers crossed for someone at least better than Psylocke..

Finally a 5* worth getting excited over! Got this crystal from the Odin casket and she’s going to be such a massive help in exploration for variant 6, so happy.

Who should I focus on ranking up? My next goals are to be able to complete cavalier monthly, complete variant 5 then explore variant 6 and 5.

Who did you use for 6.1.5 Crossbones? Don’t see any viable options on your roster to counter that poison drain and heal.

I used venom and some units.. used the SP1 to nullify the regen from crossbones and regen myself, only took a couple of revives to get through it, worth it to me.

My venom is already R5 hence why he isn’t showing on the roster.

So today could’ve been a massive account changing day for me and it went, ok..

Completed V5 and got the tier 8 casket and the rewards were;

Mr Fantastic from the 5* basic then this was the nexus;

Took Colo from that and he was the jackpot from it all!

Then had enough 6* shards to open a basic and pulled Phoenix, another dud 6*.

Got a 4-5 skill gem so now I have two of those and a skill AG just waiting on Aegon, Falcon or Fury.

Haven’t posted an update in a while, this is how my account is now looking;

Just defeated 6.2.2 sinister this morning, is this roster good enough for the remaining 6.2 chapters?

I’ve done completion of V5,6 and 7 and am working on 100% act 4 then working backwards on act 5.
