AW Fix Suggestion: Defender Points for Revives
I've been thinking about this for a bit and since Kabam claimed that defender kills were removed because of people afraid to use their still alive champs to contribute for fear of dying and thus not being fun...well this seems like a potential middle-ground between that and what we want with awarding defender kills like they used to?
The idea is to award at least 50 points per champ revived to the defending team. Thus everyone is free to go nuts with their three champs on offense and smash them against their opponents defenders/bosses and not cause any harm to their own team if they just plain die. But no longer would they have the near infinite free lives afterwards if they still need to clear a node. No longer can a single whale keep reviving to take out the boss on their own without awarding the other team points as well. In fact they are better off letting their other team mates contribute to attacking the boss once again before actually reviving.
Yes I know that AW revives only come in the team version...which is part of the strategy. If a champ dies that you know you might want for an later node should you revive now awarding points for only 1 champ revive, or do you try to just clear it with your remaining champs to save the points having the risk that if more champs die and you still need to revive then you will be awarding your opponent even more points for reviving more than one dead hero even if you will not need those others again.
It's certainly not a perfect solution but to me something like this would offer at least some potential improvement over the current system of nothing...and thus matches constantly decided before they start.
