Rank-up Gems

Why are we forced to use non-specific rank-up gems when we have specific gems (i.e. gems that can only be used on champs released prior to the end of 2016/17) and want to rank up champions from the specified categories?

What’s the point of making them specific if we can’t use them for that purpose!?!

    If you are having a problem using a rank up gem contact support via in game methods.
