Spinnaker Mojo Hype thread

SpinnakerSpinnaker Posts: 271 ★★★
I've seen a few of these going around, so I thought I might try my own (thanks for the inspiration @buddy_LEE ). Mojo is an amazing champion (he's my personal fav) with so many unique uses that seem to be growing by the day, as new champs and nodes get added. I thought I'd take the time and upload all of the great things that Mojo can do in a single thread, rather than making a new thread for each one. I'm mainly trying to spread the love for Mojo

Here is a video from a bit ago on a 6.2.2 Sinister takedown

Here is Mojo against both of the Cav EQ bosses

Mojo can cheese Special Connoisseur without a prowess buff
    https://youtu.be/bUmOETDWs5Q

This actually got me thinking about other champs that can do this apart from the ones that are normally talked about like Void, Quake, and OR. @buddy_LEE does Tigra also get around it with the red damage on specials?

Mojo is actually a great option for the 7.1.6 Gwenperion boss, who is one of the tougher bosses of 7.1.

The Scarlet Witch Boss in Variant 5 was the hardest boss of that variant for me, since the rng poison was devastating. Luckily, Mojo can rip through that fight without any worries

Mojo completely solos the Tier 9 Gauntlet. It isn't a hard piece of content to solo by any means but it is just very fun with Mojo.

@Spinnaker here it is. She can handle it even though her damage is still reduced by 90% on specials

The most fun I've ever had with a champ is mojo with the old mystic cav eq nodes.

Nice @buddy_LEE. Your videos have definitely inspired me to take up Tigra next

That node was a lot of fun. After they updated it to only give the prowess on nullify, Mojo definitely lost a lot of damage. I really like the new mystic node for Mojo though since his power gain can get insane, which stacks a load of prowesses and boosts his sp2 damage

Mojo is really fun to use on Can't Stop Won't Stop with the Korg/Gulk synergy, and he is one of the best counters for it in my opinion.

Mojo is a variant king (I would say that he is up there with Venom) due to how much work he can put in to Variants 2, 5, and 6

Mojo is also a great option for the 6.4.3 Darkhawk Boss since he barely needs to touch the opponent and worry about the auto block while still dealing big damage

Mojo easily solos the Labyrinth of Legends Old Man Logan, since there are a lot of buffs that he can take advantage of. I forgot to enable the White Magneto Pre-fight, but it didn't matter, because Mojo's animations have very good spacing for the light intercept to land consistently.

The hater buff user crushes the physical manifestation of hatred. Mojo is very effective in the Tier 10 gauntlet for the following reasons.

    - With the Gladiator Hulk synergy, he gets an unstoppable after completing a prompt which helps improve his damage against Can't Stop Won't Stop.
    - Mojo's high power gain allows him to have specials at the ready to remove the long unstoppable against Mangog
    - Mojo's shortened buff duration can turn the unstoppable from Fight or Flight into a nearly instant degeneration if Mangog gets it

Mojo is very underrated as an attacker. I used him to clear many different paths in 7.1 with ease.

Is Mojo work relatively well in long fight or short one? Which node(s) he performs particularly well? Thanks.

Me too... He is so underlooked which is why I even created my channel in the first place. I wanted others to see how viable he could be if used properly in.

Mojo works very well in moderate health pools like the ones you would see in Act 7 right now (around 300-400k) if he's awakened and high sig, otherwise you'd want to use him for lower health pools (unless you want to get into very long fights). If there are a lot of buffs though, he can melt massive opponents quickly (I've taken Labyrinth opponents in under 5 minutes with Mojo).

In terms of the nodes that he works very well against, any nodes that place temporary buffs on opponents boost Mojo's damage and playstyle. For example, I enjoy fighting nodes like Footloose, Fight or Flight, and Hit me I dare you are nodes that seem to pop up more and more that Mojo can do easily (there's a lot of others but this is a snapshot of what he can do).

With his heavy attack, he can get around nodes like Thorns, and with the GHulk synergy, he can do Can't Stop Wont Stop (I used him in 6.3 for that lane).

I also like using him on nodes like Energize since he barely needs to hit the opponent to damage them a lot and Destructive Feedback since you can have a steady stream of damage without needing to find openings.

This is just an abridged list of what he can do, but if you want to see even more uses for him, I would recommend checking out my channel

Is he good unawekened? It's a 6* so it's really hard to aweken.

He is fine unawakened, but unfortunately, I doubt he will make it to your roster without the awakening. If you want an analogy in terms of awakened vs unawakened, it would be like Night Thrasher. He has most of his kit on the base, but that big damage that makes him not feel like a drag to ramp up would be missing. With that in mind, everything is on his base kit so you could still use him for nodes like footloose or a one or two fights on a path (he is one of the best counters to civil warrior and angela since they have nullify immunity), but you probably won't enjoy ramping him up on every fight.

Congrats on the Mojo though and if you get him awakened, you will definitely enjoy playing him

I love mojo and he ruins the day of anyone with timed buffs. I wish I could use him more but I'm not as good as old mate with the vids in here.

Mojo does really well against one of the hardest bosses in Act 7: Wolverine Weapon X. This is because his passive degeneration damage (which is a lot) doesn’t get regenerated by his abilities.

Mojo makes the Act 7 Punishing Angel Boss a joke because the nodes become irrelevant on her since his passive degenerations bypass the Mercy damage reduction.

Mojo takes down an incredibly tough lane in Act 6. The Vivified+Masochism lane in 6.4.5 can pose a lot of challenges to a lot of champs, but Mojo steamrolls right through it. Thanks to @buddy_LEE for the inspiration on this video.

This was just a fun run-through that I did with Mojo in the Contest of Realms Side Quest. This should hopefully show that the side quest is accessible to a lot of champions who may not even be the "best" option for players who are struggling.
