Does difficulty mean "lag" in game?

So, I'm coasting through map 6 bleed lane this day 3 and came through it with basically full health. This is through 2 Magnetos and a Rhino that you can't chain specials on. Got used to that already.

Made it to the OG Vision up top and found his unblockable S1 to be absolutely unavoidable. The screen would darken and the game would not respond at all. Got through him, revived and did some section 3 stuff recharging my Ghost Rider to full and then squared off against another magneto. Keep in mind this was after facing 2 of the mfers already. I ducked, I evaded, I intercepted and then he got 2 bars....the screen immediately began to jump and do all kinds of weirdness. Before I could pause the game, he unleashed a slow mo of varying speeds S2 and killed me from full. The very next fight against Miles, his S1 did the same, nearly killing my Star Lord after ending my Ultron with as much lag as magneto.

I'm just wondering, does "difficult" mean lag? How can a game be so inconsistent?

I've been wondering the same thing for a long time. Lagging does not seem to correlate with network strength (I'm very well aware of when my WiFi and data signal are weak/strong). However, lagging does seem to correlate with the difficulty of AI across various game modes.

@thanks4playing : 5.3, it's just intense lag. Old AW. Map 6 certain fights that require finesse. It has to be.

I am getting a lot of lag too, glitchy stuttery play that makes it impossible to evade and block. I am on a Samsung Galaxy s7, not exactly an old phone.

I wouldn't say anything as I'm used getting screwed on Android to the bemusement of my alliance mates that enjoy my tirades, but I had just went through 2 of the same characters earlier without this problem. @Kabam Miike I'd like to have a definition of "insanity" difficulty. does it actually mean AI can do these things?

    Well? Any other opinions?

I have the same issue fighting Mini bosses and dormamu in AQ, the game straight up freezes in some instances and BOOM 5 hit into oblivion..

@mannysmoker don't even talk to me about Dorm. My favorite trick he does is in his whiff combo that can run you all the way back across the screen, the second hit of it can occasionally get you. Like the edge of his fingernails scratches you.

If AI is programmed to ignore your dash back command (freezing your champion) the exactly moment that the opponent activates a heavy attack (not happening all the time, but many times as I can count everyday), so I think this is the wrong way to increase game difficulty and obviously this needs to be changed. For me, game's engine is the biggest problem actually.

Negative. If I were, I would try to be always minimally competent.

So it's not just me... I'm sure I swiped back to evade, but it is was as though I can "feel" my champ resisting the movement with their feet stuck in the mud and I take a heavy to the face.

    Exactly what seems to me.

Losing 2 champs on one fight after dropping any items or using pots up until that vision......map 6, day 3.

So glad I am not alone.. Been suffering with major gameplay issues over the past 3-4 weeks.. So much so that I’m considering walking away from this game I’ve enjoyed playing.. Things will be fine for a couple of fights.. Then can’t parry, short dashes backwards, can’t block, sometimes can’t even move.. AQ maps have been super laggy.. I really hope things turnaround soon.. This doesn’t include SP1 or SP2 not working when triggered causing champs to get destroyed.. Not sure why the creators need to tinker so much with what was already a good thing!
