Special attacks aren't working

in Bugs and Known Issues
Went 0 for 6 with special attacks against cable in AQ...power bars depleted...but nothing happened...not really sure if this is another money grab or what but it's not very cool seeing as how I have to use potions now to rectify an error on Kabam's end.
