Gambling On Gambit? Info Needed

Gambit. Just pulled a 5 star version. I’m newer and in the process of 100% completing Act 4, and focusing AW and AQ, side quests and ISO/ Catalyst Hoarding before pushing Act 5 because I need to really start focusing on getting my champions in a better spot upgrade wise. I’ve been using a 4* Sunspot as my main Mutant. Gambit is 50/50 to me so far so, I need advice. His “card charging” and prowess buff activation really helps his specials gain strength along with his overall attack. Otherwise his attack is kind of so so. I feel like his defense isn’t all that great once Flak Jacket is lost too. I could really use advice from anybody that either loves or hates him so I can either learn him better and focus on upgrading him, or ditch him. Thank you for any responses in advance

But I don't think you should take him up over Angela and Doom.
Focus on best champions, eventually you will be getting good 5* champions.
It's good to go for god tier 4* over good 5*
Just my opinion.
It that's all the 5 star you have then.
Rank them up. All of them. Take them to rank 3 as soon as possible.

Angela
Gullie OG
All of them are good.
3 out of those 4 champ got buffed. They are lal good for a start up 5 star roster.
