Morningstar: bug, fix or silent nerf?

I remember that previously, probably a year ago, Morningstar could get two souls per fight. You could get one soul by SA3 + getting 100 on counter. And second soul could be get if finish the fight with SA3.

Haven't played for her very long, yesterday got her to quest. And now she can get only one soul per fight, the trick with finishing the fight by SA3 does not work.

Does anyone know, was there some fix of Morningstar or it is some bug or silent nerf?

It was a bug fix in patch 17.1 February 2018...

interesting, never seen this before. It definitely SHOULDN'T work, its a bug, but kinda cool as a MS lover
