Requesting Roster advice

I’d like to request some advice from this community on my roster.
As background, I’ve been playing for about 2/3 of a year and made Cavalier about a month ago. At this point I’m still probably at best a mediocre player but working on that. Now that I have made Cavalier I’m not in a particular rush to make Thronebreaker. Given this, my objectives for next couple of months are:
- Rebuild by unit stockpile (had done so until this weeks unit offers)
- Maximize EQ particularly taking advantage of the Cavalier level I now have access to.
- Finally take the time to learn Ghost and Quake. (I am getting reasonable at Ghost - can handle the miss dynamic and phase intercepts, just not timing it optimally to maximize dps. Quake I’m pretty much starting from scratch)
- Explore Chapter 5
- Build my roster with a long term view towards finishing Chapter 6 and starting some variants.
I’ve had good luck from an RNG standpoint with my 5* roster. Not quite as good luck with my 6* roster, so am primarily asking for advice on the 5*s at this point.
My main ‘crew’ is all 5* R5 - Cap IW Awakened and max sig, Hyperion Awakened sig 40, Colossus Awakened and max sig, Archangel Awakened sig 132, Red Mags awakened sig 135. Generally this group does great - all of them hit hard, Hyperion is poison immune and Colossus immune to everything else. AA kills anything that isn’t bleed/poison immune, Mags anything that is metal, and Cap anything still standing. Probably the only non optimal point with this gang is that I’m not taking full advantage of Cap’s sig ability with only two other classes.
Based on my current roster, my current thinking is that I will prioritize ranking Apoc and HT first, then Falcon and Venom, then some combo of Ghost/Quake/OR/CMM based on my learning curve and whether I get OR/CMM awakened. I do have some awakening gems but am currently holding them for NF and Aegon, but I may eventually lose patience and use one of OR.
I definitely see getting to two strong teams - a killer Mutant team with Colossus, AA, Red Mags, Apoc, and OR and also a killer class diverse team including Cap IW, Hyperion, HT, one of the mutants (depending on quest matchups), and Falcon or Ghost (again matchup dependent).
Probably my biggest gap area right now is dispels/energy control. I do have a 6* R1 Duped sorcerer supreme (one of my few decent 6*s), so will use her/Venom to Om Nom/possibly rank Magic in the interim. I doubt I’m going to level SS in the near term - obviously hoping for a Claire/Doom/Warlock drop as I rank up the crew noted above. I would say that after Apoc/HT, I would ‘bump’ most of the rest if Doom/Claire/NF/Warlock finally drop for me in 5* or 6*. If non of them drop for me and I get through the crew noted above, I would eventually rank my 6* SS.
So what is your advice? Am I thinking about this all correctly? If not, who would you rank ahead of my near term priorities Apoc and HT followed by Falcon and Venom?
