This is actually the first I’ve heard of switching the classes on the dual crystals. Personally, I think the combinations we already have are good enough, I don’t think there’s any real need to change them. What I would like to see, however, is 6* dual class crystals.
I think it's completely fine as it is, but it does throw me off how in V1 the class combinations are Skill/Mutant, Tech/Mystic, and Science/Cosmic, and in the dual crystals, mystic and cosmic are switched

Agreed. We need 6* before any tinkering with 5*, which are fine
This would maybe be a bit much but in the long term I would like to see all possible combinations(15 crystals) on a 12hour rotation. Yes I'm sober while writing this thank you very much
I've always thought there should be a "featured" class each day (matching the daily special) with every combination possible including that class. So for mutant day you'd be able to get a Mutant/Skill, Mutant/Tech, Mutant/Cosmic, Mutant/Mystic, & Mutant/Science crystals. Then the next day would change to the next featured class.
Not sure what to do on the 7th day though. Maybe just nothing.
It would probably take a fair bit of effort to set these up, but not that much to maintain them afterward.
