Selling champs question

So, I appreciate the move of disabling selling champions... but
What about increasing the amount you get for selling things like sig stones and awakening gems? The only way to use those items sometimes is to sell a 3 star and wait until you pull it again to use an awaken gem.
I realize this is a "first world problem" and not everyone has every champ. But for those that do, is there going to be something done to increase the value of items we can't use since we won't be able to sell champs in order to be able to use these things?
I've constantly got 2 and 3 star awaken gems hitting stash because there's no way to use them, and that problem is only going to spread more when people have no way to sell champions.

I'm not asking for them to keep the ability to sell. I agree with the reasons. I just don't like that even more items will go to waste.

Then stop clearing content or opening crystals if you know that the resources you want will go into stash

There is a useful answer. Just why I come here so often.

I open gems because they contain items that are useful. Unfortunately they also contain items that aren’t. Thanks to your helpful advise I now know I should forgo the useful items until a time comes when I may get a chance at using the useless items.

Aka never, since I also get XP boosts all the time as well.

Lmao at least they fixed it so we can sell xp boosts again. They were "too valuable" last update. 🤣
