Changing alliance before cmpensation for failed AQ

We get a lot of inquiries from the community as to wether it makes sense to change the alliance, now after the aw-season, before the compensation for the failed AQ was distributed.
Do you still have to be in the same alliance as at the time of the failed AQ or not?

It’s likely you’ll get compensation based on the alliance you are currently in, ie, if you were to switch alliances now, you’ll get the AQ rewards for the new alliance instead of the old one.

Ya, there’s zero percent chance of this being the case.
It could really be the case... you would currently be doing AQ in the new alliance, so it make sense.

Pretty sure this is when we skipped a week last time. I'd expect something similar.

Nah that was stability issues right? This is one week aq skipped
They skipped it I believe during this time frame. This last AQ cycle that was skipped wasn't the first time the skipped AQ. If I remember correctly, this is last time it happened.
