I took my 5* to R3 as she was one of the first I got, and that was even before he re-work.

I do like her, particularly the slow on heavies, as defenders evading is my absolute achilles heal!

But other champs do similar things, like She-hulk, who is the same class, and because of her immunities for one of the Variants [can't remember which], Spidergwen has kind of got stale with no plans to rank her further. Not that I don't like her now, simply that given how sparce resources can be, there is a quite a big group of champs I have that I will choose to rank before her.

If/when I get my 6* Venom to R2, then that might be the push to get her up to full potential.

I used to think she is underrated until I pulled a 6* one. She crits a lot but actually those yellow numbers are not high even at 5 charges, she needs too many hits to finish a fight and her block proficiency is weak. Her slow is overshadowed by SheHulk's slow. I think she is fine at where she is now (known as good but not popularly used). She is definitely science Elsa.

Why does She-Hulk’s slow overshadow SG if SG’s is longer and applied the same way?

You can slow opponents while they are having unstoppable or evade buffs with SH, meanwhile SG can only do it before those buffs trigger.
That’s not true. If the opponent is already unstoppable you can still hit them with a heavy and they’ll react as if it isn’t present. This applies to evade as well. The buff/passive will still be there but the effect no longer works when slow is applied. I would argue that Gwen has the best slow in the game because it’s very easy to make it permanent and she has a lot of great openings for heavy attacks due to its long range. With enervate you can heavy spam in the corner for a very long time and she has an easy opening immediately after her SP1, you can chain that directly into a series of heavy attacks without needing to parry. But again, due to the range it’s also easy to counter special attacks and heavy attacks with her own, adding a long lasting slow debuff to the opponent in the process.
