Ya Blade will be released.
Special challenge is already announced for the month of November with Thor event, so I guess there won't be another one this month.
Then what can we look forward to Halloween this time?
-> Special Calendar?
-> Return of Dimensional Rifts/Gold Realm/Hall of healing? or something new?
It's been quite a few months without anything new or exciting, so any sneak peek will be great.

I would love to see the return of dimensional rifts, gold realm or halls of healing. I wouldn't count on it, but would be great if it happens
1- screw over the community
2- pretend we didn't know we screwed them over
3- pull a Jedi mind trick and try to make them forget we screwed them again.
4- count the money we ripped off from the community from screwing them over again.
5- add more bugs
6- have a good laugh about it. And work on screwing them more next month.
Thats just what i think there plans look like. Who knows i could be wrong.
When does that plan never happen? That plan usually follows after each update.
yes they have confirmed it in NYCC'17 Day 1. Hela and Gladiator Thor are confirmed new champion & The challenge event will be of Hela's.
I haven't played Future Fight, but there's a good chance that dimensional rifts in that game don't work the same here.
Basically, dimensional rifts are special quests that have appeared for a few specific months (twice so far). To access the quests, you need to collect 10000 tier x dimensional rift shards (where x can be a number from 1 to 4), which were mainly obtained by completing and exploring the various difficulties of the monthly quest.
Once you collect 10000 dimensional rift shards of one tier, you can open a dimensional rift of that tier (say you have 10000 tier 3 dimensional rift shards, you can open the Tier 3 dimensional rift). You have 1 hour to complete the rift otherwise you will be kicked out. There will be a random portal which will take you to one of the multiple paths where your reward is, but you need to complete the rift to get the reward. After completing the rift, you will get 5000 of the next tier's dimensional rift shards (or 500 5* shards if you completed the Tier 4 rift) along with the reward you got.
At Tier 4, the rewards were very good and could range from a T4B, to a T4cc crystal, to a 4* crystal, to a 5* crystal, or even a T2a.
Alternatively, just search Youtube for some dimensional rift gameplay and you'll see how it worked.

Is this legit? Epic fail if so that they went with Gladiator Thor over Hulk (and ignored their own character chart order by not having that under T).
gladiator thor maynot be a cosmic champ. nothing else yet. let's see what happens in day 2 n 3.

ya 100% legit. u can check out NYCC videos. It'll be 'G'ladiator Thor (starting with G, before Green Goblin)
Skill maybe, without cosmic power it's all about using the swords with skill.
