Rank Up Gems

Is there a reason we cannot choose what rank up gem we want to use between class or generic?

I have 2 generic in overflow but cant use them due to having class gems still available, is there any solution for this?

There was a time that you can take a few screenshots, use a class one and then contact support and they would swap one of the generics for the class one you've just used. However I've heard that they don't do that anymore. Worth a try still but don't hold your breath.

They’ll do it for the 2017 generics but not the other ones. It’s a real pain with no good solution. What I’ve decided is the best course of action is to always use rank up gems when ranking up people so that you don’t end up with things in the overflow.

Yeah I was gonna do this but contacted support first and nope they dont so now i have to burn gems on random champions....fun
