Taskmaster Buff Idea

I like the idea of Taskmaster. With this buff idea, I tried to add something that I found was missing. While Taskmaster can copy the moves of his opponents with his current Exploit Weakness ability, I thought that he should be able to not only learn their moves but to then also punish their predictability. I therefore added a new ability to do just that.

I also changed some of his resistance-building or ability accuracy-lowering abilities to be persistent throughout the quest, allowing him to bypass more and more abilities and build up several immunities along the way. Each immunity can now also be used against his opponents, fueling his special attacks.

And speaking of special attacks, I tried to rework his special 3 into something more than just "everything from the other two". Now it gives Taskmaster protection vs the opponent's special 3 for a few seconds, with a chance to punish its activation with degeneration damage.

Intuitive Pattern Recognition

Each time Taskmaster successfully triggers Spot Weakness he places a Concussion Debuff on the opponent, reducing their Ability Accuracy by 12,5% for 10 seconds and refreshes the duration of any active Concussions caused by this ability. Each Concussion on the opponent increases the duration of Debuff effects by 0,5 seconds.

If Taskmaster places 5 Concussions on his opponent simultaneously, they convert into a Passive effect that reduces Ability Accuracy by 65% for 15 seconds, counts as 5 Debuffs for Taskmaster’s other abilities, and removes the Spot Weakness timer. While this effect is active, Taskmaster will not trigger any further Concussions.

Photographic Reflexes

* Each Unique Attack the opponent attempts reduce their Offensive Ability Accuracy by 10% while increasing your Perfect Block chance by the same amount.
* Each Unique Attack you make decreases your opponent’s Defensive Ability Accuracy by 10%.
* Being struck by a Special Attack resets these effects.

Finishing a fight with a 100% Reduction in either Offensive and Defensive Ability Accuracy against a Science or #Mercenary champion permanently reduces the corresponding Ability Accuracy by 7% against those champions for the rest of the Quest.

Ability Reduction gained this way cannot exceed 35%.

Spot Weakness

* Taskmaster looks for weaknesses in the last attack his opponent attempted. If he strikes the opponent with the same attack within 10 seconds, he spots the weakness.
* Successfully spotting a weakness instantly deals 1900 Direct Damage to the opponent.
* An attack that makes Taskmaster spot a weakness does not trigger Passive Evade or Auto-Block. If either effect fails to trigger due to this, Taskmaster gains a passive 20% Fury Buff for 7 seconds.
* After Spot Weakness is triggered it goes into cooldown for 5 seconds.

Exploit Weakness

When Taskmaster has spotted a weakness, the opponent can’t activate that attack for 7 seconds. If they try, they Falter for 1 second. Every Missed attack during this Falter places a Degeneration Debuff on them, dealing 1900 damage over 5 seconds.

If the spotted weakness is a Special Attack, the Falter Debuff lasts for its entire duration.

Learn the Foe - Persistent Ability

Every time a Debuff is placed on Taskmaster, all future Debuffs of the same type have their Potency reduced by 10%. A Debuff is considered placed on Taskmaster even if Ability Accuracy Reduction prevents it from activating.

This Potency Reduction is carried over between fights within a Quest.

If the Debuff Potency is reduced by 100%, Taskmaster becomes immune to all future Debuffs of the same type for the rest of the Quest.

Heavy Attacks

If Spot Weakness is currently on cooldown, end the cooldown and set a new target.

If Taskmaster has spotted a weakness in the last 1 seconds, or his current target is a Heavy Attack, place a Falter passive on the opponent for the first 1 seconds of charging this attack.

Special Attack 1

Places a Bleed Debuff lasting 5 seconds, dealing 350 damage per Debuff triggered on the opponent this fight. Max damage after 10 Debuffs.

Each bullet fired has a 70% chance to inflict a random non-damaging Debuff that Taskmaster has built up 100% immunity to throughout the Quest, lasting for 7 seconds.

This attack gains 800 additional Attack Rating for each Debuff active on either champion, including any placed on the opponent during this attack.

Special Attack 2

Places an Armor Break lasting 7 seconds, reducing the opponent’s Armor Rating by 370 per Debuff triggered on the opponent this fight. Max damage after 10 Debuffs.

Each sword swing has a 70% chance to inflict a random damaging Debuff that Taskmaster has built up 100% immunity to throughout the Quest, lasting for 5 seconds. If the opponent is immune to the Debuff, inflict a zero-damage Debuff instead.

This attack gains 800 additional Attack Rating for each Debuff active on either champion, including any placed on the opponent during this attack.

Special Attack 3

This attack gains 1200 additional Attack Rating for each Debuff active on either champion, including any placed on the opponent during this attack.

Every hit in this attack has a 60% chance to place a random Debuff that Taskmaster has built up at least 30% immunity to throughout the Quest, with damaging Debuffs having a higher chance of triggering.

Place a Special 3 Falter on the opponent for 7 seconds. If they launch their Special 3 during this time, every strike has a 30% chance to Miss Taskmaster and instead place a Degeneration Debuff on the opponent. This chance is increased by 5% for each Debuff active on the opponent when they activate their Special 3.
