Hey guys, I see a lot of CGR rotations but almost all of them players say do not dex before completing rotation. What's the reason behind this, I haven't found anyone explain this.

Check out slayer of gods on youtube. He has about 1000 vids on different cgr rotations, and goes more in to detail if you are looking for that kinda thing. Good luck!

It’s an over emphasised part of his kit. Basically you cant re trigger buffs if you’ve already triggered them. CGR gets a very potent crit buff on his L2, but if you dex before resetting your judgements you can’t trigger it.

A lot of people jump to point this out as a great flaw, but honestly, with practice and the right rotation, it is very easy to get to an L2 while dexing, reset your judgements and then use it.

There’s a lot of rotations that allow for this, don’t listen to people who say you aren’t allowed to dex - as if it’s this huge weakness of CGR. It’s very easy to work around it.

If you’d like I can explain a couple rotations I’d use to make sure I can use my sp2 while dexing

The best one to allow for normal dexing and still get the crits and damage in is to just get to sp3 before doing the power gain then firing off the sp2. Im not sure how useful other rotations would be

Thanks guys. Will check out slayer gods vids. And @BitterSteel you can share your rotations too if you don't mind.

Dex prevents the triggering of the 8k+ precision from the SP2 ( Giving you the value to make you realize how huge it is).
But it's not like you can't afford to play it if you had dexed. I play him regularly and there are times we have to dex to avoid damage. I normally trigger vigilance, then aptitude, and then power gain. By this time, I'm at an SP2 and the opponent lesser than 2. I fire it, and usually my combo get's the opponent down most of the times. If it's long, I just rush to the SP2's again and keep firing them recklessly. That's how I do it for regular quests, which is most of the times unnecessary. If not, you could push to the SP3, which is probably a waste of time IMO, I'd rather use a weaker SP2 for that, since the armor breaks are something I prefer too.
