Major thing is that using any boost that increases your health would work against you, since you would be losing more health from the poison overall unless your champ is poison immune. That's the main reason I don't run them during season, defense isn't even too big of a deal.

No, I don't use them at all. I like throwing lots of specials with more champs, and the ones who are "better" with suicides are usually just fine without them. Utility and specials are just as important, if not more so, than raw damage. There are a few that get the best of both worlds, but then you're roster is really limited and it gets boring playing the same champs all the time. I know many will argue the other way... To each their own. Play how you want.

    What's a war season?

I jest, but yeah I don't do AW. When I did, I ran suicides, but it wasn't a competitive ally. I just tried to place defenders with immunities, as the bleed and poison really sting with the health boosts.

When I was in T2 almost noone used suicides on def.

It makes the fights way too easy. Especially when you place the defenders tactically.

Now I'm chilling more (T4) so I enabled them again since it is not as important there.

When your main attack is Ghost, Corvus Warlock Claire Omega then they become a hugh help on offense

Never place with them, depending on my attack team I sometimes switch them on there, mainly for ghost wars

@Hrishikesh713 it depends on what tier you are in. I'm running casual, no item wars for gold 1 and suicides are fine. If I were still in Plat 1-2 not so much. Ask an officer if they are OK with suicides on defense.

Yeah, just depends on the expectations of your alliance. I personally don't require anyone to change masteries for war. Especially now, as I'm in our more relaxed sister alliance. It can cost as much as 240 units per week. Which is widely considered an acceptable cost in competitive alliances, but for more relaxed ones, it's not necessary.

Also, in some cases, I think the detriment associated with placing with Suicides is exaggerated to a degree. Often by folks who attack without them. When you're someone who attacks with a powerful r3 with Suicides on, a couple of Recoil procs aren't gonna make or break the fight. As your character is doing markedly more than 5% with some of its attacks. 😉 Does it speed up the fight a little bit for the attacker? Sure, but a difficult war fight is based more on the mechanics of the fight, not really whether or not you got a free 10% of their HP.
