**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Alliance Quest mode overhaul (overdue)

Alliance Quest has been around for quite some time now, it has seen some minor growth and changes. I honestly believe it needs to evolve to the next level before the game reaches its 10th anniversary.

Here’s what I’m thinking:
With the ability to customize maps with modifiers, Alliances now have a bit of diversity within each run. This idea was a great addition. Now let’s turn it up a notch.

- Add several different Map layout selections per tier. This will allow for a much more refreshing experience each run. The same exact layout becomes overly tiresome and repetitive, it lacks excitement.
- Add Enemy type diversity customization. This will allow Alliances to further create a unique and dynamic experience. Class types will have a predetermined value system based on difficulty of Champion, this will undoubtedly scale with the tier system, combined with node enhancements. In other-words, the more power combination you’ve preselected, the more points will be rewarded for your victory efforts.
- MVP ambush opportunities. Having this mode turned on will allow for any top 5 scorers of a Battlegroup to be randomly ambushed. Ambushes will occur once per section, allowing players to test their mettle and be rewarded due diligently for their efforts. Victory will allow players to collect “team buffs” and other perks to be used for Alliance Quest upon completion of the map. It will also allow for the MVP(s) to choose from a selection of several different personal buffs which will have different predetermined expiration types, some will last for the rest of the current quest, some for 3 - 5 fights… etc.
- Bounties, this will really start to turn up the heat for all skilled players at each tier level. When the Bounty system is turned on, each path will have the opportunity to take on the final node as a Bounty match, or the player can opt to pass and proceed with a normal match. Victory of each Bounty will enhance the multiplier of the final score by a range of 0.25 - 0.5. Bounties are essentially Sub-mini-bosses and should not be taken lightly.
- Bi-Monthly Alliance Quest event themes. Just like monthly event quests, but with a seasonal narrative. This will keep things rewarding and refreshing. Players will appreciate the mental stimulation of adventure and conflict in a co-operative environment. What makes this more interesting is that there will be other game modes that will hide specific pieces to your AQ event adventure that you may choose to collect to further your rewarding experience.
- Gates, Gatekeepers & Guards. This is will apply to the Bi-Monthly event quests, find the Gatekeeper through collecting clues in other game modes, once the Gatekeeper is found, defeat them for the Key. Obtaining the Key allows for you to enter a special gate on each path of the final section of a AQ map. This gate will teleport you randomly to one of several different Guards of a treasure horde, defeat the Guard and the treasure is yours alone. Once defeated you will be teleported back to your path to resume your Alliance Questing with full health. If you’re defeated, you lose your Key and you’re teleported back to your path to continue your AQ with health you had prior to challenging the Guard. The choice is YOURS!
- Role types effective matches. Adding the option of “Role” types will allow specific champions to be increasingly effective in particular matchups. Some paths may require you to bring a “Tank,” while another will recommend you bring a “Support.” These particular instances will be fights a are made much easier using a specific “Role” type, but can also be managed without. This will allow players incentive to diversify their offensive roster, should they choose to do so.
- Finally, MEGA-BOSS! So, you’re amongst the most elite of the flock? Your Alliance is spectacular in every way and so far, the first 4 days of Alliance Quest has been nothing but Victory? Well, well, well, you ain’t seen nothing yet…!
MEGA-BOSSES are a day 5 Alliance Quest final boss when all specific qualifying (predetermined) objectives are met. MEGA-BOSSES are no joke, they are there for one reason, and one reason alone… TO STOP YOU FROM SUCCEEDING! These will be epic battles worth streaming and will be the most rewarding element of Alliance Quest seasons… does your Alliance team have what it takes???

Let’s all cheer Kabam into taking the next (necessary) steps in our Alliance Quest journey.

We all know this amazing game team has the potential to make this a reality.
