Player unable to accept invite after being kicked

I think I'm going crazy here. I kicked a player from my alliance because he had become inactive and did not communicate he was going away. He contacted me, and I wanted to invite him back.

I kicked a player to make space. I made the alliance "open". I sent multiple invites (I seem to be able to send one every 5 minutes, like they're being deleted). Other officers sent him invites.

He says he is not receiving invites in his in-game mail and that he cannot go to to the alliance and join it. This makes no sense.

Is this a known issue or glitch? He's been with us for nearly a year and is not new to this. I don't know whether to give up on getting him back... he seems genuine enough in trying to join again, but I can't fathom why this would happen.

tell the player to lookup the alliance in game and request to join

He more than likely has his invites turned off in game settings.

Ask him to check his game settings to verify that "ALLOW ALLIANCE INVITES" is checked.

As to not being allowed to join an open alliance with available spots, I would say is very odd and would probably be suited for Kabam Support to investigate. As far as I know, there isn't an option to block players from joining which I would assume could be the only hypothetical reason as to why that is. GL to you!

I have had trouble in the past with sending invites and having them receive it. Another option is to have them request to join your alliance. If they visit your alliance page, they can send a request to join. You or another officer can see this request in the members tab as pending approval and you can get him in that way.
