Is Symbiote Supreme pretty good?

I just pulled him as a 6*. I know he's supposed to be extremely good, one of the best Mystics, etc, but I'm looking over his kit and it's not really blowing me away. I already have a maxed out 5* BWCV and Mojo so dealing with buffs isn't really a big issue for me. I even pulled a 6* Sorcerer Supreme a few weeks ago. I know this is a first world problem but I am basically swimming in Mystics who all do roughly the same thing. Is this guy worth leveling anyway, maybe even ranking?

However, he can be useful and fun, anytime there are loads of buffs to nullify (yes, even when unduped). I used him against super Skrull in the cab eq and the fight was so easy with him. Comes in handy against venoms and Aarkhus and anyone with loads of buffs.
Definitely level him. What other mystic would you rank over him that you currently have or hope to pull? Are you willing to keep waiting or could this help you until you do?
Now as to whom you should prioritize, that's another story. I had both Sorcerer & Symbiote Supremes at R2, I took Sorcerer first to R3 and Symbiote will follow down the road.
Basically, at this current game meta, you need them all. Need power control? Use Doom. Need immunities? Use Claire. Need to counter unstoppable / evades or armor break? Use Sorcerer. Need fast and safe nullification? Use Symbiote.
Definitely a Top Mystic Champion
In buff-heavy matchups where opponents can bleed, he's almost always the best choice. That said, it's a pretty limited scope. More than, say, AA. He also begs to be used with MD.
SS staggers are RNG-dependent and short, I find them unreliable. The only match-up that SS beats Claire is the resistor paths in story quest.
Definitely agree to disagree. Symbiote nullifies everything on the opponent and deals damage, just by entering the fight, without making a single move! Unreliable staggers...? He bombards the opponent with them.
The moment sym enters the fight and the opponent is not bleed and/or Armor break immune, and also has at least one stackable buff per time that activates periodically; the fight is over. He strips the opponent of their buffs immediately, and he can start to apply the staggers. The staggers are RNG based, but the Sig (albeit not necessary), alleviates that dilemma to an extent. The first special you should throw is an SP 3. To maximize the power gain, throw it when you have 100 genetic potential, and the opponent has one or more buffs if possible. After that first SP 3, there is no more hope for your opponent. You can get hit, with little repercussion due to his safeguard mechanic. The bleeds tick away at the opponent's health to devastating effect. I also have maxed deep wounds, and the opponents simply melt from the bleed. If you can get into an SP 2 cycle, you can get to the point you're dealing 200k damage in less than 10 seconds (tested against Crossbones in 6.2.4 with destructive feedback).
His effectiveness against buff heavy matchups is about on the same or similar scale to mags Vs metal, and AA Vs non-immunes. I would honestly advise anybody with a sym to take him to at least the rank 4 level, because what he does is absolutely unmatched. I've soloed abyss VtD, abyss Aegon and abyss cull with him. I got a solo this morning on 6.2.6 champion boss with the spite link active, and with relatively bad gameplay on my part.
But I think its worth upgrade for act 6 or 7 u always find some kind of buff on opponents which makes his fights easier
