Why is chat broken yet again?

It's been broken on and off for six years. Getting tied of typing things out only to have them go poof. We don't use line so chat is kind of essential for what little conversation we actually have. It's just messaging. Not like we're talking about actual game play being broken. Which shocking enough, it is.
