An oversight on CMM?

Was using CMM in AQ against a mystic Doombot and I took energy damage while taking a blocked hit DURING binary ignition. In her abilities it states she cannot gain energy charges EXCEPT through a heavy attack; which will give her 3 charges. If she’s not gaining charges, why is she taking damage? It’s not very advisable to use CMM against a mystic but I wanted to finish the fight quicker.

    Electro reflects damage even when he doesn't take damage. KM does the same. Not all the game mechanics makes sense

    The wording isn’t reflective of what the ability actually does. In her abilities it does state that ‘captain marvel suffers X damage when energy charges are generated by the effects of mystic champs’ so technically she shouldn’t be taking damage through blocking during binary since she doesn’t gain charges. However that’s just how it is 🤷🏻‍♂️.

    Practically yes - this is how it works. But from her abilities it does not state that it’s through block. However that is how it works so we just gotta accept that hahaha
