Decreasing shards from daily quest

So I did t3 cosmic catalyst quest after a long time , I was short of a few shards to form catalyst , I thought I would get it BUT , I got 83 shards from the easy path and 280 shards from hard path , Are you kidding me so less shards , It use to be 250 and 500 a few months back , come on guys do you have any say on this .
