Dropping block mid combo

Cav EQ 1.1 in this case but have seen it elsewhere. Fighting Invisble Woman using Nick Fury.
Still no parry a lot and Dex issues (of course), but what got me was nick dropped block mid combo.
Had block up, IW attacks. Dash ML, Nick blocks, I’m still holding block, 2nd light atk hits me, 3rd light atk hits me, 2nd medium atk hits me. After all the non-parry and Dex damage taken she K.O.’s me.
This has gotten beyond ridiculous.
