Parry Curse

Can someone explain the parry curse to me? I don't know why I get curse for the next fight when I don't even stun the opponent. So holding block is still a form of parry even if you don't stun the opponent? I'm lost lol! Help

    It's a curse, only way to overcome it is by preforming a sacred ritual on top of the mounting under the darkness of new moon!
