Getting notice of 100% download in play store...but update won't open!

I'm having the exact same problem it says it's a 100% downloaded but will not open. I've android Samsung

I had the same issue on a Pixel 4a. I got the update via ApkPure. I also uninstalled and reinstalled to try to get a crystal issue taken care of.

Good news: Game is updated.

Bad news: Unable to spend Creeps and Crawlies shards that I've earned in the last day.
