It's like he was forgotten a long time ago, specifically to be a meme pull to irritate players occasionally.
Every single champion that got a re-work or a tune-up had been in a better shape than Groot prior to it. He is literally useless and inferior to all for any type of content. Being such a fan favourite Marvel character outside of the game, I do no understand why he gets such a harsh treatment.
