GM: Critical Hit Not Counting Towards Challenge

Aegon against GM in second phase, hitting into block registers “CRITICAL” onscreen during Critical Hit challenge multiple times.

Despite this, Challenge Failed message registers onscreen when timer expires.

Is this supposed to happen? Previously today, critical hits through block counted toward this challenge.

    Man this fight seems to be a bug Fiesta for some :neutral: maybe they should extend it to at least three weeks ..

    They can extend it forever, but won't so another GM run with all the bugs. Saw all these issues and was one of the ones that ran it while my champ was stuck at 8 charges of competency. Was a long, drawn out fight with lots of items and more than few units wasted. Summer of pain is a pain, bit not because of the content... It's been more painful with the bugged event in top of the ongoing input issues.

    Hopefully there are some videos people can post too. I didn't recited mine as I wanted to make sure phone resources were as optimal as possible in that looking fight.

    Good question. Reads “Critical.” Not sure what else “can strike with critical hits even when opponent is blocking” would mean.

    Hol' up. You're using Aegon, a high combo one, and you hit the block, which shows 'critical' and yet doesn't work for the mission?

    A video would help. I might sound vague, but was it a 1000+ combo Aegon? If yes, it is a bug. If no, then I guess its partly our fault on not having checked the combo.

    If Ægon was at 999 combo he should be unblockable so critting through block is out of question

    Aegon not at 999, but well above the 30 needed for crit through block. Mistimed an intercept at under 1% last night and decided to step away and finish today. Didn’t video (CPU lags)—but will record if/when I run another lane. Obviously no challenges left on this run at <1%.

    Appreciate the opinions here—it seemed odd but there’s a good bit about that fight that seems a little odd this time. And it’s always possible it’s just me—I would never discount that, and it can be easy to lose count when you’re focused on the fight. But I don’t think that’s all it is.

    Yeah in youtubers' streams it hasn't counted. It needs to hit the gm not block.
