Mutant 6* rankup dilemma

Which one of these would you suggest to take to r3? Cyclopses are obvious choice, but I would like to hear worse alternatives.

    I always default to Red Mags, but there has been nothing my rank 2 6 star red mags cant beat. I imagine his value will continually increase but im holding onto a mutant t5cc and ranking my mags for some reason.

    Yeah, it has to be Red Mags. While I agree that an r2 will probably do everything that an r3 can do, I still really subscribe to the idea that you should never purposefully hold off from ranking up great champs because "they don't need to be better". They might not need to be, but it is awesome if they are and they can clear more content that way. I mean, maybe you have to fight a #metal opponent with some tricky node that makes you unable to use your SP3, for example. Maybe one of those "Your SP2 does more 50% more damage but your other special attacks deal 50% less damage" nodes - then it might be good if you have a bit of overkill to your SP3.

    There are all kinds of situations where having him at r3 might still be a good idea, and if nothing else you'll be glad to have him there in future content.
