Summoner Showdown For The Future

I wanted to start this by saying the concept of the Summoner Showdown is amazing. The contest doing an ESports event is great to show and test the skill of players across the battle realm. What I do have a major problem with is the fact that it is not fair. In the NY Summoner showdown everyone had a chance to fight the boss with the same roster and mastery setup, very fair. Unlike then, now you have to use the champs that you have acquired through your time playing. Most people won’t have champs that can take the number one spot (Hercules) because he hasn’t come out in non unit crystals, not everyone has time to grind arena either. On top of the fact that not everyone wants to spend resources on suicide masteries or units just to revert back to non suicide masteries it’s wasteful. ESports if fair to everyone everything should be the same for everyone but it’s not what so ever. The most simple way and very essential for the future of this game to to make somewhat of a CCP or Beta, where you can play in the Summoner Showdown, or just make the event in the main game able to use champs and masteries that are the same for everyone. Kabam please respond to this post because this just isn’t fair to the community. Thank you and I hope you have an absolutely fantastic day.

E sports most certainly is not fair to everyone. In esports, if you don't have the money or not willing to put in the money for top tier equipment you're most likely not going to be able to compete at the highest level. Equalize skill at the highest peak of professional esports and the player with the lower ping, better fps, better mouse will more than likely win over the long run. You're never going to become number one in a region say at valorant playing on a old mac book when the top players have ten thousand dollar pc set ups.

If you're not at the point in the game where you play so much that your unit stash is so large changing masteries is barely a thought and put in so much money/time that you're in a top alliance you're more than likely not going to beat the times of someone who does.

Being in a top alliance and using units shouldn’t matter to the overall Summoner Showdown. It’s about skill and knowledge of the game. That’s the whole point I’m making, the champions and masteries should be equal to everyone so that everyone can have the same chance, you shouldn’t need to dump units for masteries into this or worry about not having the 5* version of the character you know can do it fast that you have at 6* r3. More over, it doesn’t matter at the end of the day if someone is “unfamiliar” with a champ they won’t beat someone who is familiar and uses them on a regular basis, but at least for the event to really show what someone is capable of, the Summoner Showdown needs to be the same for everyone. Exactly how you can’t use boosts because it’s not fair but you can use suicides??? That’s way bigger than a boost like I don’t get how anyone can make an argument as to why suicides are okay and boost aren’t. It’s the same thing just as masteries.

I dare you to r5 or r3 a SheHulk. Max it out and get the same mastery setup that was allowed in the 2019 showdown and do as good or better than MSD.
