Summoner Showdown For The Future

I wanted to start this by saying the concept of the Summoner Showdown is amazing. The contest doing an ESports event is great to show and test the skill of players across the battle realm. What I do have a major problem with is the fact that it is not fair. In the NY Summoner showdown everyone had a chance to fight the boss with the same roster and mastery setup, very fair. Unlike then, now you have to use the champs that you have acquired through your time playing. Most people won’t have champs that can take the number one spot (Hercules) because he hasn’t come out in non unit crystals, not everyone has time to grind arena either. On top of the fact that not everyone wants to spend resources on suicide masteries or units just to revert back to non suicide masteries it’s wasteful. ESports if fair to everyone everything should be the same for everyone but it’s not what so ever. The most simple way and very essential for the future of this game to to make somewhat of a CCP or Beta, where you can play in the Summoner Showdown, or just make the event in the main game able to use champs and masteries that are the same for everyone. Kabam please respond to this post because this just isn’t fair to the community. Thank you and I hope you have an absolutely fantastic day.

Look at AngerDanger last year. He was VERY proficient with Quake. That reverse Quaking of IMIW could only been done by someone who has used her in all aspects of the game. Not to mention his control of that Tigra fight.
Being able to pick up a champ you’re not familiar with just because it’s a “god tier” means nothing if you can’t play with them at your best ability.
Look at 2019, you had people in the qualifiers who used champs they weren’t familiar with and it showed. You had people filling behind others using the same champ and you could see the lack of skill. Yeah they did well but imagine if they had that champ and had used them more.
Look at MSD and SheHulk in the finals. That was one of the best skill showcases up to that point. And it was because he practically is/was the best with her.
Just because you have access to a god tier doesn’t mean you will become better. I have Ghost and O suck with her.
If you're not at the point in the game where you play so much that your unit stash is so large changing masteries is barely a thought and put in so much money/time that you're in a top alliance you're more than likely not going to beat the times of someone who does.
