Finally - Justice for Sentinel

First, there were mutants in this game.

Then came the mighty Sentinel, the ultimate killing machine, designed to adapt to mutant powers and erradicate them all.

Then came Magneto buff, who just said "F U Sentinel, you are #Metal in this universe", thus becoming the only Mutant who directly counters this killing machine.

And NOW comes the mighty Nimrod, the supreme Sentinel, whose levels of perfection far exceed those of the normal Sentinel. This flawless killing machine makes the so-called "Master of Magmetism" just as helpless, as all other mutants are.

Finally, we have a Sentinel, who isn't countered by the very thing it was made to destroy.

Seriously tho, am I the only one to whom this interaction always felt a bit awkward? That Magneto directly countered Sentinels?

Not really, IIRC Magneto probably has defeated Sentinels just because he can manipulate them

What I find funny is the whole "counter the counter" thing going on.

I haven't read the comics, but I have done some Googling and found out, that in the comics, he implemented metal into Sentinels while they were disabled. I dunno how accurate or true this is, so I would be happy if someone who actually read the story could enlighten me.

His spotlight says "Nimrod is the ultimate Sentinel." What does it mean then? What is he?

Dude he said Nimrod is not Sentinel, not Nimrod is not a Sentinel.

Nimrod is not the champion Sentinel, he is a different champion therefore he has different abilities.

I get why they wouldn't want Magneto to crush the ultimate sentinel like all other robots in the game, well he's a mutant and he should be the one getting destroyed lol. But why the ability to ignore Armor Breaks? Armor Break is most common amongst cosmics so why put this ability in a tech champion just to counter one mutant? Kind of messes with the class wheel even more imo.

Not a big comic reader, but I do remember this scene in a film where Magneto infuses the Sentinels with metal rods on a train to control them. So I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happened in the comics.

Oh yes, just like Aarkus is a dimensional being. But he actually isn't.

Either way, I think we can say that Sentinel is not the ultimate Sentinel.

im pretty sire hawkeye (with banners help) is the only being to kill the hulk . that one isnt far off comic logic . just swapped out an fist for a specialised arrow tip an the right circumstamces am we are there lol

And even that wasn't really that permanent...

It took ~130 hits from a r3 HB each time to clear him in CavEQ...which does not happen usually.
Champs this health goes down under 70 hits. Mags was a fail too and Medusa took a lot longer.

And yes as a dedicated true player of the contest, I haven't read his abilities.
Just winged it while dying couple of times with other champs.
