Hey there, I believe I know what's happening here. By default, Captain Marvel only gains Persistent Energy Charges by blocking if the attack dealt physical damage, with well-timed blocks giving her an extra Energy Charge. However, all of Nimrod's attacks deal energy damage, instead of physical, so blocking those hits should give her no Charges normally, and only give an extra Charge when she gets the Parry.

I just tested what you said against Doom. He also deals energy damage, but CMM gets two charges on parry.

Except CMM's ability specifically states that she receives a persistent energy charge when blocking physical attacks AND when receiving energy damage, which you just said Nimrod deals. So...
Based on your screenshot, what is PROBABLY happening here is the fact that you did perfect blocks against Nimrod, so you took 0 damage. Therefore, you get one persistent energy charge from the parry but none from the physical/energy damage. Your other screenshots you are not doing perfect blocks and are taking damage, therefore you get the second charge.

That's my bad everyone, I had accidentally pulled up a much older version of her abilities when looking to see what might be causing this. She receives Energy Charges when receiving energy damage. I've passed the report about Nimrod along to the rest of the team to take a look at.

* If you block a physical attack you get one charge. * If you receive energy damage you get one charge. * If you perform a well timed block you get one charge.
The attack is not a physical attack, no charge for the first point. You received zero damage, no charge for the second point. You performed a well timed block, one charge.
If you try the Torch fight again and perform a zero damage perfect block you should also only get one charge.
"Blocking" an energy attack does not grant a charge. If you happen to receive damage while blocking that attack you'd get a charge for that.

you're right tested against other champs with perfect block synergy and she only gained one charge
Triple-checked with the team and it does appear that this is being caused by Perfect Block preventing her from taking the Energy Damage needed to gain that Charge. Since Perfect Block causes no damage to be dealt, abilities that trigger when damage is taken can't activate.
A r3 CMM has a high enough block proficiency for a 6* guardian to give her perfect parries when fighting against an opponent with a challenger rating of 130 which is what Nimrod has.
Wow! You guys really know what you’re talking about. I have max BP Mastery, Lv1 PB, and 6* Guardian in the team (see below). I tried the fight again and got zero damage on every single parry the entire fight. I have never seen that before. I’d upload the video here if I can.

Just tested against Human Torch
You can parry and receive 0 damage.
* If you block a physical attack you get one charge.
* If you receive energy damage you get one charge.

Through Teammates synergy
Guardian synergy
or
Mastery
... two in a row and first charges? I'd bet on the Guardian synergy

Thanks you everyone for your inputs!
